Who We Are

We are a new church plant rooted in being followers of Jesus and becoming like him. The call of Connections Community Church is to reach people who are spiritually hungry, with deep questions about life, but have given up on organized religion and church, and, invite them into fellowship, cultivating relationship and community with them, so that they can work through their doubts and questions about God without judgment.

Our ultimate desire is to be a welcoming church where all people marginalized because of - race, gender identity, sexual orientation, forgotten, left behind, wounded by “religion”, religiosity, and legalism, as well as those seeking life in God’s Spirit - will desire to join us on this exciting journey.

Our Mission

What We Are Doing

We desire to be a church that will live out our vision through:

1) small group gatherings centered around a table where we eat and share a meal, and where people can belong, before they believe;

2) service projects which will evolve as people discover their passion to serve those in need; one service project is to join a team here at CCC with our ministry partner, Home For Refugees, and help newly arrived refugee families get settled in their new life in California. If you would like to volunteer with Home for Refugees, please Contact Us using the form located on the Connect tab with your information and your desire to serve with Home for Refugees.

3) community outreach community outreach as we share jointly in mission with each other and witness how unbelievers find faith in Jesus.

Our mission will be accomplished through social justice, not by toppling governmental systems, nor destroying property, but through finding faith in Jesus who transforms hearts by his love so that systems of racial injustice and oppression may be overturned, changed and transformed. Our charge is to go forth and love others as Jesus loved us (John13:34-35). During Covid-19 social distancing guidelines, our mission will be carried out through Zoom online gatherings with hopes of having face to face gatherings as soon as is safe.

Our Values

7 Core Values

How Are We Doing It

These are the conduits for fulfilling our mission and living like Jesus – sharing his love with others, and doing what Jesus did – if he were with us now on earth: 1) Engaging (those outside the walls of church); 2) Connecting (developing relationships); 3) Including (turning no one aside); 4) Incarnating (taking on the heart of Jesus and living it out in the flesh); 5) Journeying (seeing faith as a journey, and walking alongside one another from cradle to grave); 6) Transforming (being changed from the inside, thereby being moved to bring change); 7) Worshiping (gathering together to celebrate Jesus in song, prayer, the Sacraments, and sermon reflection)
